Most of the products are exported; such as citrus fruits, mango, banana, green bell pepper, tomato, watermelon, pumpkin, melon, strawberry, sweet potato and cassava, among others.
Timber production is another activity that can be observed in the municipality, since the region is one of the Argentine soils with the largest number of valuable timber species, such as cedar, tipa, palo lanza and palo amarillo. As the area belongs to the yungas, it is possible to observe the flora and fauna and to go trekking in the surroundings.
The patron saint festivities are held in September in honor of the Virgen de la Merced, with procession, mass and civic-military parade. Not to be missed is the beautiful and traditional "pim pim" dance, which attracts many participants from the area.
