It belongs to the Yungas Biosphere Reserve so you can observe numerous plant and animal species and being close to the Bermejo River you can also practice fishing with return.
The inhabitants, mostly of the Wichi ethnic group, raise cattle, goats and pigs. The Wichis are predominantly fruit and honey gatherers, fishermen and hunters. Others work in lumber mills, in clearings or are temporary harvesters in other people's fields. They carve the wood of the palo santo, weave with chaguar fiber and make utilitarian pottery.
The patronal feast is celebrated in August in honor of San Lorenzo.
