Pichanal

It is part of the Bermejo region and the Yungas Biosphere Reserve. As it is located at the crossroads of National Routes N° 34, 50 and Provincial Route 5, it has an important economic activity.

The rural landscape is furrowed by banana, citrus, bean, soybean, cotton, bell pepper production and it is an area of forest exploitation of woods such as: cedar, tipa, carob tree, lapacho, guayacán, horco quebracho.

Most of its inhabitants are dedicated to the work of the land, in addition many have Syrian, Lebanese, Spanish and Italian ancestry that give the town its physiognomy and its sign, mixing traditions and feelings with the autochthonous settlers. Its gastronomy includes beef and pork, honey and river fish milanesas.
